Adobe Systems is busy spreading wings in majority of Android-based mobile phones which will offer support for the mobile version of its Flash software.

The report released by tech news site Softpedia claims that the software firm has proclaimed the recent list that speaks of releasing Flash 10.1, which supposedly will be featured for all Android 2.2 powered smartphones.

Graphics software company, Adobe Systems Inc. said that it has reported a 18 per cent jump in its second quarter profit for the current fiscal year.

Strong sales figures shown by its Creative Suite 5 product has been the major driver. It is the flagship product of the company and is used in the media production industry.

Adobe Systems’ much awaited Flash 10.1 with mobile support for Android, BlackBerry and webOS smartphones, will be rolled out in the second half of 2010. The company has delayed its launch as the product is still undergoing some testing.

According to a recent McAfee report, the year 2010 will witness Adobe surpassing Microsoft as the primary target for hackers and virus writers. Thus far, Microsoft, which holds a leading stake of the operating system, office productivity, and Web browser markets, has been the most common target for malware attacks.

Emphasizing its strategy of providing developers with everything they need to build RIAs, Adobe Systems has decided to line up its Web design and developer tools under its Flash brand.

Beating the analysts’ average estimates of 42 cents per share first-quarter earnings, software-maker Abode systems Inc. reported an almost 45 cents per share earnings, excluding items, for the period that ended February 27.

It seems that San Jose, California based Adobe Systems’ effort to get its Flash technology onto the Apple iPhone is getting litter longer; that’s what the Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen's comments in Davos, Switzerland indicate.
