Airbus parent EADS, which forecasted a long-term boost from Europe's tattered currency, increased its shares to their highest in eight months, by reaping the benefits of a weaker euro on Friday.

Chief Executive Louis Gallois revealed that Airbus parent EADS is still looking for a partner to support its bid for a deal worth up to $50 billion to sell refueling planes to the United States.

EADS North America announced its intention to challenge Boeing for the contract after failing to find a partner. Gallois said, "It is indispensable to have a partner".

On Tuesday, the European aerospace major EADS announced that it is all set to place a bid on a highly lucrative deal to supply the US Air Force with brand new aerial refueling tankers, a move which will pit the company against its arch rival Boeing.

It was revealed by the Louis Gallois, the Chief Executive of EADS, that no consensus has yet been reached by the European group regarding challenging Boeing associated with an offer of selling aerial tankers to U. S. the deal is valued up to $50 billion and this disclosed by the Chief Executive in an television interview LCI which is to be telecast on Monday.
