It has been recently revealed that Foxconn Technology Company from Taiwan has planned to increase the salaries of their workers. This has come as a desperate measure after the firm has learned how many people are committing suicide these days, due to financial crisis.

A series of controversies have revealed that manufacturing of Apple products is being done in China. Foxconn, an electronic giant which is headquartered in Taiwan, employs hundreds of thousands of employees in China for Apple, and has also helped it to climb the ladder of success in US.

On Tuesday, Foxconn International Holdings Ltd. shares went down significantly. The shares came down because of huge losses that the Company faced in the first quarter of the current year.

Till June 30, the total losses were reported to be $142.6 million, which is quite high as compared to $18.7 million net loss during the same period in the previous year.

A group of Taiwanese academics requested Foxconn Technology Group to discontinue a strict and callous management approach at its mammoth factory compound in southern China.

Their appeal comes after a recent series of suicides at the Shenzhen facility that recruits and gives accommodation to over 300,000 persons, several from poor families in the Chinese interior.

In order to keep up the oath of hiking salaries at the contract manufacturer's factories in China, the Foxconn International Holdings has requested its patrons to help the Company, as it is facing increased burdens due to the same.

Finally, workers of Foxconn Technology Group have some answers for the questions poured onto the Group after workers committed suicide at the Company's factory near the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen.

Steps taken by supplier Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., to tackle a topical spate of suicides at the Taiwan-based Company's factory in southern China, are being autonomously investigated and scrutinized by Apple Inc.

According to the reports, an alarming increase in the suicides has forced the authorities to scrutinize the Foxconn manufacturing model.

With the low wages and low land prices, Hon Hai or Foxconn, also took charge of not just the labor of the workers but also of their entire lives. The migrant workers were housed and were also fed on campus.
