The CEO of Hewlett Packard (HP), Meg Whitman announced that the company is planning to make the webOS code an open source. While commenting upon the decision of the company, Ms. Whitman said, “We are so excited about webOS and realized that the very best thing to do is to open source the technology, contribute to it and invest in it.

Hewlett-Packard is leaving no stone unturned to benefit it most from the controversial $10 billion acquisition.
