Intel Corp's global investment organization, Intel Capital, has made a $43-million investment in the Japan-based WiMax mobile services' provider - UQ Communications. The funding will be used by UQ for persisting with its UQ WiMax service expansion endeavors countrywide, thereby attempting to fulfill its commitment of making WiMax coverage available to 90 percent of the country by 2012.

Jajah receives $2.75 million to expand VoIP services; shows noteworthy growth

According to reports, the VoIP - voice over internet protocol - communication service Jajah has received $2.75 million in its fourth funding round. Though there has been no official disclosure about the investors, Jajah - which has earlier raised $23 million - has been supported in the past by Globespan Capital Partners, Deutsche Telekom, Intel Capital, and Sequoia Capital.
