Going by some media reports, including a Sunday report in the financial news website TheMarker, O2 – the mobile phone division of Telefonica – will acquire the Israeli voice over IP (VoIP) startup Jajah this week.

Australian version of popular microblogging site Twitter would offer two minute phone calls totally free to the registered users without exchanging their telephone numbers.

Jajah receives $2.75 million to expand VoIP services; shows noteworthy growth

According to reports, the VoIP - voice over internet protocol - communication service Jajah has received $2.75 million in its fourth funding round. Though there has been no official disclosure about the investors, Jajah - which has earlier raised $23 million - has been supported in the past by Globespan Capital Partners, Deutsche Telekom, Intel Capital, and Sequoia Capital.
