28M Boxes of Breakfast Cereals Recalled by Kellogg
Submitted by Amit Pathania on Sun, 06/27/2010 - 13:01Kellogg Co., which is the leading U.S. breakfast cereal maker, willingly recalled almost 28 million boxes of cereal that includes Froot Loops and Honey Smacks, citing odd taste and an odor coming from the liner of packages. The recall too, comprises of batches of Apple Jacks and Corn Pops, Kellogg said today in a declaration.
FDA Warns Kellogg for Contamination of Eggo Waffles
Submitted by Amit Pathania on Wed, 02/17/2010 - 08:02Food and Drug Administration said in a letter that was written on January 27, but released today, that Kellogg Co. must fix sanitation violations at an Atlanta plant after the contamination of Eggo buttermilk waffles with Listeria bacteria. These bacteria can contaminate food that can result in mild illness or sometimes life-threatening, illness called invasive listeriosis.

The recent salmonella outbreak in the U.S. linked to tainted peanut butter has been the cause of five deaths and sickened 453 people across 43 states and Canada said U.S. health officials.
Kellogg investigating possibility of Salmonella
