In a surprising turn of events, Panasonic has announced that it would be the sponsor for the newly launched 3D channel by Sky. Prior to this development, it was clearly publicized that Sky would be having LG as its major sponsor.

After FujiFilm launched its 3D cameras last year now it's the turn of Panasonic that has come up with its 3D camcorder. These normal looking camcorders can capture both 2D and 3D images. But with the addition of a conversion lens adapter even the 3D image can be captured.

These videos can also be viewed on a SD television that can be connected through an HDMI cable.

On Tuesday, Panasonic announced that it is coming up with a high-technology 3D video camera – the HDC-SDT750. It is the first Company which will advance its move in this segment. The camera will be introduced in September and will be sold for around £1,300.

At a news conference, held on Wednesday in Tokyo, Panasonic Corporation, the Japanese electronics manufacturer and provider, announced the launch of two 3D camcorders. These two camcorders, models TM750 and TM650, would be the first 3D video cameras and recorders in the world, available for the professional, as well as, the non-professional consumers.

Panasonic Australia facilitated broadcasters with a five-minute clip of scenic views for 3D test transmissions, which was screened from 12AM - the first time 3D content has been reportedly transmitted across Australia in the early hours of this morning.

Test transmissions are revealed to run for a nine weeks time span and feature a number of upcoming sporting events.

Once again, today, history has been made.

The four-page front and back cover commercial by Panasonic in the newspaper today is the first three-dimensional newspaper commercial, to be printed in Singapore. When it is viewed with the help of special glasses that come with the newspaper, stunning images start popping out from the pages.

A preliminary test conducted on 3D TVs, manufactured by Panasonic and Samsung reportedly shows that Panasonic's 3D plasma gave a better picture quality than Samsung's LED- backlit LCD 3D TVs.

The Japanese Electronics maker, Panasonic Corp announced to launch its 3D televisions in the United States on Wednesday.

A Toughbook configuration centre has been opened by Panasonic in collaboration with Sterling IT to help resellers in Italy.

It will be one of the five centers in future which will provide the customers with the option to configure a basic Toughbook model suitable to their requirements. It is based in Wetherill Park.
