Salesforce posts better-than-expected profit

Salesforce. com Inc has reportedly seen better-than-expected quarterly profit. And because of this, the company has also raised the full-year forecasts.

The company has been able to see the rise since the more and more clients signed up for the cloud-computing services.

Official figures shared by the company have revealed that salesforce. com managed to add about 1,800 customers in the Asia Pacific area for its financial year which ended on 31 January, 2010.

This directly means that the vendor has now managed to bring its total customer base to some 7,000 establishments in the region, which is a 36% year-on-year hike.

The company has been able to achieve decent numbers due to higher demand for its online business applications. This has sent the company's shares up 5 percent in extended trade.
