It has been recently revealed that the global giant Sony has replaced its CEO Howard Stringer by Kazuo Hirai. This has been done due to the recent losses incurred by the firm and the ranking as which has revealed that they have been left behind by other leaders like Samsung and Apple.

Sony continues to be the target of mishaps. This time, the latest device from the company has become the victim.

Earlier this month, we heard some leaks about iPhone’s next generations. Following the rumors, the whispers are still not over about a larger touch screen for the iPhone 5.

To confirm the rumors, we have also got information that Hitachi and Sony have started shipping 4-inch LCD panels for a new Apple iOS device.

“We took it on the chin over and over again -- the problem that we have is that we were alone out there, so nobody had anything else to write about that month”, said the Chief Executive Officer of Sony, Sir Howard Stringer, while briefing the company’s plan to launch a revolutionary television set in the market.

Certainly an embarrassing one but a litany of reports caught the Sony Corp off guard as it was revealed that many of the Bravia flat-panel TVs sets sold since 2007 in various countries could have a faulty component which triggers fire.

Sony and Samsung are doing a joint venture for S-LCD, a flat screen output. However, on Monday, news came that Sony would be reducing the capital by $555 million as it is presently struggling with perennial losses from its TV business and Samsung is asking to shift it to a new type of display.

According to a recent revelation by video games news website MCV, the Sony NGP - Next Generation Portable – will probably become available round the world by the end of 2011.

Along with its recent announcement of an upcoming new handheld, which currently goes by the codename ‘Next Generation Portable’ (NGP), Sony also announced its PlayStation Suite – a new download store for the company’s mobile and handheld devices.
