Luxury brand fashion retailer Ted Baker plans to open concessions via department stores in the United States, Portugal and Spain during the first half of the financial year. The labels strength and success despite the squeeze on spending most individuals experienced led them to have enough confidence to embark on this new business venture.

It was revealed by the fashion retailer, Ted Baker that with a slight support from the popular summer and spring ranges, the total group store sales elevated more than 20%.

Ted Baker Plc, UK fashion brand, reported a drop of 18.4 per cent in its pre-tax profit for the first six months of the year, but said its performance was better than expected owing to the strong performance of its UK arm.

Ted Baker's pre-tax profit dropped to £6 million as compared with £7.4 million last year.
