Sweden’s TeliaSonera launches world’s first 4G wireless network

The world’s first commercially-available 4G wireless mobile networking service has been launched by the Swedish carrier TeliaSonera. The 4G service, which boasts of speeds ranging between 20Mbps to 80Mbps, is initially available only in central parts of Stockholm, Sweden and Oslo, Norway.

World's First Networks to Use LTE Technology Opened by TeliaSonera

TeliaSonera, the Nordic carrier, on Monday deployed in Oslo and Sotckholm, what it says are the world's first two commercial network making the most the LTE wireless technology. The maximum speed that the networks claim are a whopping 100Mbit per second.
