In order to provide passengers comfort having allergy, WestJet Airlines in collaboration with King Pharmaceuticals will launch EpiPen Auto-Injectors onto WestJet's 91 aircrafts around the Christmas time.

As speculated, the pen will be placed in all WestJet aircrafts within the first few months of 2011 so as to treat severe allergic reactions.

Drop in fourth quarter earnings of WestJet

Fourth quarter net income of WestJet Airlines Ltd. plummeted by 45.9% due to decrease in air travel and weather- related expenses. Net income of $40.8-million (32 cents a share) was reported during the fourth quarter in comparison to $75.4-million (57 cents), for the same period in 2007.
