Wind Mobile is aiming for the upcoming holiday season with the latest second Android device, the Alcatel Tribe OT-981.

The device is based on 2.1, with a 2 megapixel camera, 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 3G. Its features as a portrait-slider with a full QWERTY keyboard which is nowhere similar to that of Motorola Spice that unveiled yesterday.

Wind Mobile has seen a launch in Vancouver on Thursday with a queue of people waiting outside its Yaletown store, looking for lower-cost wireless service.

Explorers can now continue their voyages without worrying about their mobile phone bills. Wind Mobile has announced enhanced tariff plans for U. S. Roaming for Pay Before customers.

With one flat roaming rate across the U. S. and Canada, subscribers can look forward to saving more on roaming charges.

On Friday, the unknown wireless company's strategy for near-national coverage is said to be launched by Wind Mobile in Ottawa.

The launch is said to start off with double service booth in Blockbuster Video stores.

It has been reported that in the next coming weeks Wind Mobile is planning to add more locations in Blockbuster, Futureshop and Best Buy stores.

Wind mobile has started operating in Edmonton, aiming to earn a good market share in the city soon.
