Woolworths has warned people of Australia to confirm the safety of the homebrand milk they were consuming, as a stock of milk packs was in process of being recollected due to contagion with cleaning solution.

Asian stock markets were seen fairly higher early on Monday, with an earnings downgrade done by Australian retailer Woolworths weighing on Sydney.

Japan's Nikkei Stock Average climbed up by half a percent Australia's S&P/ASX 200 went up by 0.2%, Kospi index of South Korea gained 0.3% and New Zealand's NZX-50 also added 0.1%.

Supermarket giant Woolworths Ltd has announced to register a 4.7% jump in its third quarter sales (including petrol sales), however, has plunged its full-year sales forecast on account of the unceasing inflationary pressures.

Official reports have revealed that Woolworths has decided to restructure its communications services over the next year after the end of an enterprise wide review which went on for 12 long months.

Visa has expressed strong discontentment over a decision made by Woolworths.

Woolworths has taken a decision to eliminate the credit option when customers make their payments with a Visa Debit card at any of its outlets. Commenting on the issue, Visa stated that it is "extremely disappointed" by the Supermarket giant's move.
