The British medical association (BMA) is asserting that the IT infrastructure of current scenario will not be able to maintain a balance and pace with required changes. The assertion came into account after the news that UK government is thinking of instigating significant alterations to make easy availability of data to practitioners and patients made by NHS.

Doctors rejected calls for a "chocolate tax" in an attempt to curb rising obesity levels in the UK. The chocolate war was started by Nutritionist Dr David Walker, a GP in Lanarkshire as he claimed chocolate was the big factor in the obesity epidemic and the explosion of conditions such as Type 2 diabetes.
