An Asylum Seeker Dies at a West Australian Detention Centre
Submitted by Petra Vesela on Mon, 03/28/2011 - 14:34A man from Afghanistan who was seeking for an asylum died in at the Curtin Immigration Detention Centre near Derby. The man was found dead on Monday, at about 6.16pm.
The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) has confirmed the death of the detainee at the Curtin centre. The DIAC says that the cause of the death in not known yet.
