US Government Plans to Shutdown, Many Agencies Would Continue to Work

The US government has planned to shutdown but the Medicare and Medicaid coverage of medical care and prescription drugs will continue to work. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) will also continue to work but the institute will serve only 90% of its normal patient load.
New NIH programs to Focus on Childhood Obesity

The U. S. National Institutes of Health is reported to have unveiled two major research programs in a bid to discern out ways to prevent and deal with childhood obesity.
The two programs standing at a worth $72.5 million want to have NHLBI as its lead sponsor.
