Reports have revealed that a Perth woman who recently underwent a much talked about and controversial liver transplant for the second time, after her first transplanted organ failed due to repeated drug abuse, is in a very critical condition and "close to death" in a Singapore hospital.

Mrs. Claire Murray from West Australia underwent a live-liver transplant operation in Singapore which was successful, even though her case involved a lot of complications. This woman was a drug addict and had been through the similar operation last year for the removal of her liver, but it failed to do any good to her as she recommenced with her habit of taking drugs.

A West Australian woman Claire Murray, 24 year old and mother of two, dying of liver failure, will have to meet strict selection criteria to receive a so-called live liver transplant in New Zealand as the doctors in Perth have refused to grant a second liver transplant to her.
