According to The New York Times' Thursday report, citing unnamed people 'in the know,' Netscape founder - now developer-turned-financier - Marc Andreessen is backing a new browser startup, RockMelt!

With Netscape co-founder and Web browsing pioneer Marc Andreessen investing in small startups, via his $300 million venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, one of his striking investments is in a starup called RockMelt, which is making a foray into the already over-crowded and highly competitive Web browser arena!

Making a new addition to his list of titles in the tech arena is Marc Andreessen - along with being a browser technology pioneer, a serial entrepreneur, and an angel investor, he has now become a venture capitalist too!
