Pierina Kapur, who removed a baby's bladder carelessly, has been permitted to continue her practice, though; she will have to abide by strict rules for the coming 12 months.

The operation was carried out on a six-week-old girl from Manchester at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital in October, 2008. The matter was taken to the General Medical Council for investigation.
