To fix leak, Trans-Alaska pipeline closed

The line which was leaking was incased in cement, hence at present work parties are installing pipe to go around the affected part and take oil flow one time again.
Alaska to shut oil pipe this weekend for bypass

This news that was broken by the operator had added that the oil pile will remain closed due to some of the restoration works and bypass that is long overdue. The main reason as it turns out is because of the installation of the bypass which is aimed at restoring the oil shipment to the top volume.

Alaska Cruise Association sues Alaska over passenger tax
