Over $1.8 million raised for research at Ride the Rideau fundraiser

The fundraiser witnessed the participation of over 715 people who cycled from Ottawa to Merrickville.
‘Weekend to End Breast Cancer’ Raises $1.8 Million

This year, 950 participants took part in the 30 to 60km walk and raised $1.8 million. In the past six years the event has raised over $10 million.
The money raised will be going towards breast and gynecological cancer research, treatment and prevention.
Telus Donates Digital Mammography Machine to Ottawa Hospital

Telus has been a long-time supporter of charities that advance cancer research, awareness and detection. The new machine will replace the 30 year old technology at the hospital.
University of Ottawa Faces Human Rights Charges

All three are from Saudi Arabia; one is participating in the school’s neurosurgery program, and the other two are residents of the cardiac surgery program.
Funds by the Fox Foundation Are Sure to Help Research on Parkinson’s Disease

This drug has already been tested by the Windsor University. This test was done on rats and the results were positive and encouraging.
Cycling Must For Maintaining Health

Pricked Special Constable to Undergo Blood Tests for Half-a-Year

Though, needle pricks aren’t something to worry about. But, the cause of concern in this situation is that the inmate was diagnosed with the hepatitis C and the HIV virus.
