Abbas calls for quick dispatch of aid to Gaza

Witnesses said he was shot dead by Israeli soldiers as he approached the border, north-east of the town of Jabaliya.

Israel to truck aid to Gaza, envoy tells Italian minister

Ambassador Gideon Meir said the supplies would reach Gaza by the end of the day, the Italian foreign ministry said in a statement.
