Google Delays Launching Android Based Cell Phones in China

Without citing any reason, Google and its Chinese cell phone partner have delayed the launch of Google's Android based two mobile phones.

The phones are a product of Google's collaboration with Samsung Electronics Co. and Motorola Inc, while for launching; China Unicom will be its ally.

Google, based in California has decided to curtail its operations in China if government does not go soft over the issue of Google sensor search on Chinese search engine.

The hacking attacks from mainland China on Google and other 30 companies of United States along with the attacks on Google e-mail accounts had created fury in Google's officials.

Opponents of China's Great Firewall, and autocratic nature of the Communist Party had appreciated Google' move.

China Mobile, which leads in world's mobile carrier market, has already launched Android based cell phones and plans for more in response to launch of Apple Inc.'s iPhone in China by Unicom. If the tension between Google and Beijing would not ease out then Motorola's plans to again build up its business by launching Android based new phones will be dashed to ground while Samsung will not be so adversely affected.

Motorola's spokeswoman in Beijing said that company, in collaboration with China Mobile Ltd. and China Telecom Ltd, had number of cell phones in China.
