Lottery players get more options

Lottery players now have more options to choose from. Missouri and Illinois along with some other states have started selling both Powerball and Mega Millions tickets, beginning Sunday.

Earlier, Powerball and Mega Millions tickets were sold in different states. Illinois used to sell only Mega Millions, while Missouri used to sell Powerball tickets.

The development is expected to increase jackpots plus greater revenue for the states and local governments.

Speaking on the topic, Lottery spokesperson Carol Everett said, “Powerball will add two more multi-million drawings each week giving players four big jackpots to shoot for.”

Mega Millions drawings will be held every Tuesday and Friday, while Powerball drawings will be held on Wednesday and Saturday.
