In an effort to publicize his economic agenda and boost up upon his voters, President Barack Obama's visits politically noticeable New Hampshire. He plans to promote his idea of collecting cash for smaller businesses. Obama is expected to travel to Nashua on Tuesday to highlight his State of the Union address: 'funneling $30 billion to local banks so that they can help small businesses get needed financing'.
This financing is expected to be drawn from dollars repaid by banks that were helped by Wall Street bailout. This came as a result of the administration's first announcement in October, that made banks with less than $1 billion assets adequate for government financing at the rate of 3%, provided they use the money to lend to small businesses. But bankers believed they would not like to accept money from the government's $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program.
New Hampshire, where two House seats and a Senate seat are being considered this November, the President is trying his level best to hold-up his party by underlining the top priority of nation as "fixing the economy"
