The NFPS or National Pandemic Flu Service will probably be shut down quite soon. It has been reported that these services for the deadly disease swine flu will be closing down gradually as there have been fewer cases of the disease with a steady reduction in the number of patients.
The hotline for the flu and also the website will close and be switched off from February 11 and it seems that these closures indicate that the outbreak of swine flu in Britain is mostly over and the number of cases has been decreasing steadily and another interesting factor regarding the disease is that those few people who were actually affected suffered only mild illness and nothing as serious as before.
It has also been reported that the centre had been already warned against complacency and it was also made certain that if the need arose, the reactivation of the NFPS could be done in a matter of seven days. Those people who feel that they have the disease will probably be directed towards their GP from the beginning of next week.
