John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers clubs up to create chaos in the city during an anti-terrorist assignment.
In the generic but breezily entertaining "From Paris with Love," John Travolta runs around sporting a bald head, a goatee, a hoop earring and an I-don't-give-a-damn disposition. Playing Charlie Wax, a U. S. special agent sent to Paris to stop a terrorist attack.
While, Travolta character is funny and genuine bad-ass - someone who gets a unknown kick out of always being smarter than everyone else in the room.
The performance made by Travolta's is revealed to be the most enjoyable and energetic performance since "Pulp Fiction" and "Primary Colors".
A descendent of French filmmaker Luc Besson, Morel has a bizarre strong knack for pacing without assaulting you with his editing (ahem, Michael Bay).
"From Paris With Love" is also revealed to include bits of business that one will never catch the good guys of American pictures doing.
The movie featuring John Travolta, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Kasia Smutniak, Richard Durden, Yin Bing grabs 2 1/2stars
