Dr. Conrad Murray plans to surrender to authorities Friday, his lawyers said, regardless of whether or not the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office charges him in connection with the death of music legend Michael Jackson.

As has been confirmed by the lawyer of Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor who was to appear before court in connection with Michael Jackson's death, the physician is planning to surrender to the authorities on Friday.

The surrender will be undertaken by the doctor regardless of whether or not the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office slaps him with charges of having a strong link with the death of the iconic star.

"We are going to be at the courthouse at 1:30 [p. m. PST] for his surrender", Miranda Sevcik, a spokeswoman for Murray's lawyers said. "We see no reason to perpetuate the arbitrary situation any longer".
