Twilight Warewolf Hunk To Be 'Stretch Armstrong'

Taylor Lautner, The Twilight star has been casted in the title role of 3-D film “Stretch Armstrong,” scheduled for 2010 release, Universal Pictures confirmed.

“The Twilight Saga” star will take on the role of the rubbery hero based on the Hasbro toy. The storyline surrounds a spy who is exposed to a formula. Because of this freak incident, he is able to stretch his body in incredible, superhuman ways. This new gift allows him to take on life and fight crime.

“In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global box office. He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely super hero with a fantastic super power,” Universal Pictures Co-Chairman Donna Langley said in a statement to Access.

The actor maintains projects in other movies such as Max Steel, Northern Lights and Cancun. Film based on “Breaking Dawn,” the fourth book in “The Twilight Saga,” has yet to be made official.
