Major celebrity chef and one of the most renowned personalities of the contemporary times, Jamie Oliver recent managed to win the heavyweight allies in a campaign to kick0start a food revolution.

Chef Oliver managed to bag a TED Prize that allowed him to make one wish that the major players in group would try and turn into reality. He then put forward his desire, during a highly-charged discussion at the TED get-together, around the likes of Larry Page, the co-founder of Google, Microsoft Chief Strategy Officer Craig Mundie, co-creator of video sharing site YouTube Chad Hurley and Amazon. com Chief Jeff Bezos.

"I wish for your help to create a strong, sustainable movement to educate every child about food, inspire families to cook again and empower people everywhere to fight obesity. I'm here to show American that just a little effort can make a big difference. We have an awful reality right now. The adults of our generation have blessed our children with a shorter life span; ten years less because of the landscape of food we built around them", the master chef said on Wednesday.

Oliver had recently started a movement across Britain to get school going kids to start eating healthier food, and is now looking to spread the same in the US with the help of the major players of the country.
