According to the Financial Times, in a stir linked to the launch of the iPad tablet PC, probably Apple may sell standard-definition TV shows on iTunes for a $1, according to Financial Times, Along with the concern of charges for its new-portable- media, it is also supporting the expectation that Apple may be flexible about iPad prices. As stated by the Financial Times, the company had been doing well in its talks with unnamed studios that are not named and that the deal represents Apple's attempts to enclose content creators within its banner prior to the launch of the iPad tablet PC.

An implicit break up of an iPad by research company iSuppli concluded that device could collect a sizable profit for Apple. As anticipated the midrange 32GB iPad with a 3G connection will be costing $287.15. Apple has also been in talks with publishers to harbor their content to the device.

David Young, chairman and CEO of Hachette Book Group, wrote on media blog Mediabistro, "It's important to note we are not looking to the agency model as a way to make more money on e-books. We're willing to accept lower return for e-book sales as we control the value of our product—books, and content in general. We're taking the long view on e-book pricing, and this new model helps protect the long-term viability of the book marketplace".
