While, Hollywood actress of ‘The Changeling’, Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt have no immediate plans for adopting a child from the earth-quake stricken island of Haiti, she admits a further expansion of their rainbow family has not been ruled out.
In her role as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, the actress is currently visiting Haiti, Jolie shrugged aside reports of her adopting an orphan from the country, even while confirming she could adopt again, sometime in the future.
Already, the couple famously known as ‘Brangelina’ have adopted Maddox, 8, from Cambodia, Zahara, 5, from Ethiopia and Pax, 6, from Vietnam, including having three biological children of their own, namely Shiloh, 3 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 19-months.
Earlier in the week, Jolie, 34, called for restricting any adoption of Haitian children following the natural disaster that struck the island nation, saying Haiti had many trafficking problems before the earthquake, which is why it was important to closely watch the children, encouraging groups like UNICEF to care for the children in the country.
She also expressed how passionate she was about Haiti, whose extraordinary people, dignified and calm in the face of adversity, inspired her with their resilience of spirit, inventiveness and strength after the devastating earthquake, finding way to help themselves.
