Tokyo predicts first-time-ever operating lossNagoya, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp, Japan's largest automaker, said Monday it expected the first operative loss in the company's history as car sales around the world plunged due to the global financial crisis.

As of March 31, 2009, the end of the current fiscal year, Toyota forecasts an operative loss of 150 billion yen (1.66 billion dollars). Last year, Toyota reported profits of 2.27 trillion yen. (dpa)
