Hypnosis can ease respiratory problems in kids

A new study states that hypnosis can be helpful in calming down the symptoms of respiratory diseases in kids.

Symptoms of respiratory disorder include routine coughing or sensations of difficulty in breathing and experiencing some discomfort during medical actions.

The research looked at how to utilize hypnosis conventionally and its skill to use the mind-body connection for initiating physiological changes.

Ran D. Anbar, professor of paediatrics at SUNY Upstate Medical University, New York, recommends hypnosis only when respiratory symptoms in a kid are of psychological nature.

Symptoms that are not seen while a child sleeps can be linked with a certain location or action, and this can respond to hypnosis in particular.

The research also states to decrease the sensations of difficulty in breathing can also be corrected by hypnosis besides easing a child's anxiety and controlling discomfort in children.

Dr Anbar however cautions that only health care providers who have done proper training can attempt hypnosis.
