Promethean to Appear on London Stock Exchange

Promethean World, the interactive learning technology firm, has formally announced its intention to get listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange, through the sale of an unspecified number of its new and existing shares to institutional investors.

Headquartered at Blackburn, Lancashire, the company employs more than 870 people.

Its finances have not been disclosed completely, as of now. However, the sales rose by 36 % in 2009.

"Promethean is a global leader in interactive learning technology. We have earned this position through continuing innovation, the quality and reputation of our products and services and the effectiveness of our people", said Jean-Yves Charlier, Promethean's Chief Executive.

Expecting the pre-tax profit to get 3 times in the current financial year, which runs until May, the group is thought to be targeting an equity valuation of £400m.

Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Cazenove are acting as joint global co-coordinators, joint book-runners and joint sponsors, in respect of the planned Promethean listing.

Seymour Pierce is acting as sponsor and sole book-runner for the proposed SuperGroup IPO.
