A Guinness World Record was attempted by 99 fans, in an imaginative game launch event as a part of Cryptic's new Star Trek Online multiplayer game launch.
Fans dressed in full Starfleet uniforms turned up at London's Millennium Bridge, with their face painted for the aliens, and Cornish pasties strapped to their foreheads for the Klingons.
Official Jean Luc Picard impersonator Giles Aston presided over and verified that the participants were dressed in authentic costumes for the Guinness World Records judges.
"Anything we can do to make the game feel even more like Star Trek is something we want to do, we want to give people more of their ship " exec producer Craig Zinkievich told Inc Gamers".
Craig intends to make the game perfect before introducing it to the players. PC Gamer's early impressions in the Star Trek Online preview can be checked out by Non-Star Trek Online pioneers.
