Walter Isaacson to pen ‘sanctioned’ biography about Apple CEO Steve Jobs

As per the information revealed by the New York Times, the well-known Apple CEO Steve Jobs will give the world a peek into his distinctively ‘private’ life by the way of his biography, which will be penned by Walter Isaacson, the ex-CEO of CNN and the ex-editor of Time Magazine.

Isaacson, presently is running the Aspen Institute, a non-profit group promoting leadership and public policy discussions, has earlier written biographies of Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein, and Henry Kissinger.

Going by the Times’ information, Jobs’ biography, which is currently in the planning stages, will cover the entire life and career span of the man behind the success of Apple. For collecting relevant material, right from Jobs’ childhood to his recent years as the famous Apple CEO, Isaacson will reportedly make a trip to Jobs’ childhood home.

The book will not be the first one about Jobs – while quite a few unauthorized histories have been written about the man, this will be the first book to be produced with Jobs’ consent and cooperation.

Though neither Isaacson nor an Apple representative have disclosed any details about the ‘sanctioned’ biography, it is pretty obvious that that book will largely focus on Jobs’ legacy as a technology futurist, rather than his personality traits and his treatment of his employees.
