The third ranked PC manufacturer in the world, Dell Inc. officially announced that it is expecting to record strong double-digit growth across China for the ongoing year, after a near doubling of sales in the previous year's last quarter, mainly fueled by the Government's stimulus measures.
Across China, which is now the company's second largest market worldwide, Dell saw a jump of 81% in 2009's last quarter, propelled mainly by a range of Government incentives aimed at stimulating sales, mainly across smaller cities.
The fourth-quarter increase marked a sharp increase compared to the previous quarter, when Dell posted a 20% growth in China sales.
While calling the latest rise in sales a "lofty" one to maintain for the entire 2010, Steve Felice, Dell's President of Small and Medium Business, said, "We do think we will grow high double-digit growth rates in China".
"We've been moving to outer tier cities, improving our distribution network. Our coverage is improving dramatically", he said.
