The problem of global warming has managed to become a much heated and controversial topic of debate, especially with suggestions coming out that the data might just be rigged.

In Rolla, the area's Municipal General Manager Rodney Bourne and Missouri S&T Associate Professor Dr. Mark Fitch got together to discuss the topic, which is having a more than profound impact on the whole world right now.

Mr. Fitch, for one, believes that global warming is completely real and happening every second, with Mr. Bourne stressing that whether global warming is real or not, depends on who is being asked this question. But it is, however, very true that the Earth does undergo changes.

Also, both the experts believe that climate change is certainly happening and would end up having quite an impact on the world as a whole. Changes are being seen everywhere, they believe, for example the Pacific El Niño, which has warm water at the surface, and this results in increased rainfall and other climatic changes.

Mr. Fitch and Mr. Bourne, in addition to all the other climate experts, believe that significant steps need to be taken in order to try and tackle the problem of global warming and the subsequent problems faced by everyone.
