Nestle Looks Forward to Better Profits in 2010

Beating a poll forecast of 3.9% sales growth, Nestle reported a 4.1% growth in 2009. It is thus, looking forward to a remarkable growth in 2010 as well.

Meeting the huge demands of chocolate, soluble coffee and pet products, throughout the year, nestle posted its sales worth $100b.

"Nestlé’s 2009 results combined strong top and bottom line performance in a very challenging environment, thereby reconfirming the group's long-term commitment to the Nestle Model", said that the group in a statement.

Nestle owns Nescafe, Maggi, Gerber baby food and Perrier water.

Its profits were reported to be 10.4b in 2009.
