Holly Robbins and her husband Michael are all set to sue Harriton High over a major webcam controversy which has managed to garner much interest and attention within a few days.
"I'm happy that they're being looked at; I'm happy that somebody has taken charge of the situation, but it's also very scary", Mrs. Robinson said who is taking the step to protect her son Blake and many other students of the school who could be facing the same issues.
As has been shared by the parents, the whole thing started when the principal of Harriton High called them up and accused Blake of selling drugs at home, claiming that she saw the whole thing through the webcam on the laptop which had been issued by the school.
"She said that she had pictures of Blake that were taken on his computer of him holding up little, what she thought, were pills, but what turned out to be Mike & Ike candies", said Mrs. Robinson, who called the situation an invasion of privacy.
"I mean at first, I couldn't say anything because she was accusing me of selling drugs , I couldn't fight back, but I thought this was terrible, how could they do this", Blake said.
The parents are worried how many other kids are being spied upon, including their 18 year old daughter who has a school issued PC too.
Amidst the controversy, the school district has suspended the program of issuing computers to students all together.
