FCC to Probe Fox Game Show
Federal Communications Commission

The Federal Communications Commission is examining whether the producers of the planned Fox game show “Our Little Genius” revealed answers to the potential contestants to some questions before taping episodes of the program last year, reported by the New York Times on Friday.

A parent of one of the show’s contestant wrote a letter to the Federal Communications Commission that a few days before the taping, a member of the program’s production staff met the contestants and his parents and told specific answers to at least four questions with which the child was unfamiliar or not sure. This letter was received by the commission on December 22 and was released on Friday as it comes under the Freedom of Information Act.

Six days before the premiere “Our Little Genius” was withdrawn. It was featuring children between the ages of 6 to 12, answering multipart, and open-ended question regarding specialized subject matter to win the “life-changing money”.

Now it’s the time of great trouble for Mr. Burnett who has created programs for “Survivor” “The Apprentice,” “Shark Tank” and “Are you smarter than the 5th Grader”.
