Thunderbird Harley-Davidson/Buell Rises for Breast Cancer Charity

Thunderbird Harley-Davidson/Buell in New Mexico transformed the chance of introducing H-D's new Pink Label Motorclothes line into a local fundraising effort, and currently reports its plans to field a team in a walk benefiting the Breast Cancer Network of Strength.

The Albuquerque dealer used the Pink Label launch to make its customers involved, and raised $188 with a fundraiser earlier this month for the breast cancer research charity.

"This one was just raising awareness. We will take the money and use it for our team", said promotions manager Kristen Sweeney. The team's seed money is revealed to run from sales of hot dogs and a Ladies of HOG bake sale at the event, Sweeney added.

H-D attributes to a part of every sale from its new Pink Label Motorclothes line to the national charity, and Thunderbird is utilizing funds raised this month to field a team at the Making Strides against Breast Cancer walk April 25.

"Harley-Davidson, on a national level, has partnered with Network of Strength and we are proud to support the cause locally as well", Marketing Director Mike Lovato posted. "No one should have to suffer with this disease. We hope our local events can help raise funds to help find the cure".

The dealership is also a sponsor of the American Cancer Society's third annual Susan G. Komen Ride for a Cure March 6.
