At PMA 2010 in Anaheim, Samsung expressed its concern for camera with the announcement of Samsung TL500 and Samsung AQ100 and SL605 Waterproof and Scratchproof cameras.
TL500 is a camera with brightest, fastest lens in point-and-shoot, a fast-shooting camera, and a high-definition pocket camcorder. The company thought to be more related to HDTVs and smartphones, has come up with this high definition camera following the introduction of last year's successful DualView point-and-shoot cameras. TL500 is a 10 mega-pixel camera with unbelievably fast f/1.8 lens.
TL500 noticeably has an ultra-wide-angle 3x optical zoom lens, ranging from 24mm to 72mm and supported by dual optical/digital image stabilization.
The deficiency of an optical viewfinder on the TL500, is covered up by the addition of a 3-inch-diagonal, rotatable AMOLED screen. A complete manual control, aperture priority, shutter priority, and RAW shooting capabilities are also featured by TL500 and Smart Audio mode makes it more user-friendly.
The TL500 also has a horizontally scrolling control wheel for in-camera settings and it also comprises of horizontally scrolling adjustment wheel at the front of the camera. There also exists a facility recording standard-definition video at 30 frames per second.
The Samsung TL350, Samsung HMX-U20 and HMX-U15 new pocket camcorders are due this spring.
