As has been confirmed by the publicist of the popular star of the sitcom Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen has entered into rehab and will now be taking a break from the filming of the TV series.
The development has come nearly 2 months after the 44 year old actor was arrested after a fight with his wife, Brooke Mueller, at their home is Aspen, Colorado on Christmas Day, and it was speculated that Sheen had assaulted her.
For the charges of assault and threatening to Mueller, Sheen is due to return to court on March 15.
Mueller's lawyer has shared that she is also in rehab and seeking treatment.
Stan Rosenfield, Sheen's publicist, has shared that the actor will now "take some time off" from filming his TV series, and his decision to enter rehab was taken as a "preventative measure".
"He has asked that his privacy be honored. No further statements are planned", he added.
