Bristol Palin, whose unplanned and sudden pregnancy managed to become a countrywide news story that also engulfed her mother's Vice Presidential campaign in 2008, is now bringing her experience as a teen mother to bear on the small screen.
On Tuesday, ABC Family announced that Bristol, the older daughter of Sarah Palin, the ex-Alaska Governor, will play herself on an episode of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager", a drama which revolves around a teenager who becomes pregnant.
The episode, all set to be aired this Summer, will feature the 19 year old Palin as a friend of Amy, played by Shailene Woodley, attending a music program for teen mothers.
Since giving birth, Bristol Palin has managed to become much outspoken, urging young Americans to abstain from having sex to avoid becoming a teenage mother like herself.
