Pentax Unveils Two New Cameras

Pentax Corporation today has announced its two new cameras, the Pentax X90 and the weatherproof Optio W90.

The Pentax's X90 features a larger 26X optical zoom range and a pop-up flash. It offers full manual, shutter priority, aperture priority controls, 2.7-inch LCD, electronic viewfinder, and support for Eye-Fi wireless SD memory cards. It comes with three types of image stabilization, which includes sensor-shift, automatic adjustments to ISO settings and Pentax's digital Pixel Track Shake stabilization.

Digital filters such as Toy Camera, Fisheye, and Retro; and dynamic range adjustment for highlight and shadow correction can be added. Movies can be shot up to 720p HD at 30fps.

Optio W90 is waterproof, shockproof, freezeproof, and dustproof. The Pentax's new weatherproof Optio W90 offers a carabiner strap for connecting the camera to hiking gear.

The W90 includes three bright LED lamps around its lens. The camera's new "Digital Microscope Mode" is meant for shooting objects up to 1cm close from the lens. The Optio W90 is also offers Eye-Fi cards.

The W90 will be available in April which will cost around $330.
