The HealthGrades has tagged Christus Santa Rosa Health System as one of the 50 best hospitals in America.

Christus is the only hospital system in San Antonio to be honored with this designation from HealthGrade, an independent health care ratings organization.

Of California's 323 hospitals, the three singled out are Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center in Glendale; Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles; and St. John's Hospital Health Center in Santa Monica.

The ranking for the hospitals were conducted on the grounds of rigorous look at the mortality rates and the complication rates that their patients face after getting any one of 26 procedures or diagnoses. And finally, they have to have a track record of having been on HealthGrades' 269-hospital list of the nation's top hospitals for the last eight years.

“This recognition affirms the commitment (Christus) has made to excellent quality care and service to all patients we are privileged to service”, Christus’ newly appointed President and CEO Patrick Carrier says.
